ABOUT SAPLINGS
Operated by hands-on passionate owners, our centres are located in Half Moon Bay and Taupō. We enjoy high teacher to child ratio’s to provide meaningful social interaction and educational development in a safe, secure, purpose built environment.
Design-led interiors and playgrounds feature calming, natural materials as we understand our environments are a powerful tool for optimising wellbeing. Our quality physical spaces together with trusting teacher/child relationships and a child-led curriculum creates an exciting platform for learning development.
Our amazing teaching team is over 85% fully qualified with early childhood teaching qualifications, and our competitive fees include nappies and plenty of healthy food.
Saplings promote a culturally rich environment – our kaiako incorporate the children and their whānau, our local community and their own knowledge into our learning programme.
Our teachers together with local primary schools have developed a transition to school programme for our 4 year olds to provide a solid social and academic foundation so they arrive at school ready for their next learning journey.

Teachers
To learn and develop children must feel safe and happy.
Our teachers establish a trusting relationship and a child-led curriculum that together with our quality physical environment, creates a platform for learning.
Playing accommodates children’s development and wellbeing, and because it is so meaningful to them, our kaiako use it to support and direct children’s curiosity towards something specific (learning moments).
Through playing, our experienced teachers also engage children in learning activities that are aimed at social, cognitive and physical skills.
Nutrition
Our kitchen provides a range of nutritious food, including hot meat and vegetarian lunches, healthy morning and afternoon tea, and late snacks.

Saplings Early Learning
Saplings now has centres in both Half Moon Bay, Auckland and Taupō. Each centre is easy to find, with convenient parking to make drop-offs and pick-ups stress-free.
